Here’s all the info you need to make your travel as smooth as possible.
Flights / Airports
You’ll likely want to fly into San Jose (SJC) as it’s less than 10 minutes from the Mastermind.
You can fly into San Francisco (SFO) but that can be 45-60+ minutes (especially with traffic) from our Mastermind.
You can also fly into Oakland (OAK), which is about the same distance away as SFO.
Accommodations / Hotels
Directly next to our meeting venue is the five star Signia by Hilton San Jose.
A block away is the three star Four Points by Sheraton San Jose Downtown and one block further is the four star Westin San Jose.
In addition to these three, there are also many other hotels downtown that are walking distance to the Mastermind.
Dining in Downtown San Jose
Downtown San Jose has a wonderful selection of restaurants ranging from fast casual to fine dining and everything in between.
During the Mastermind you’ll enjoy Executive Chef Roger’s fine dining.
While in town you’ll want to enjoy some of our California specialties like Mexican food (try Mezcal across from our Mastermind) or, a few blocks away, San Pedro Square which has a dozen plus different restaurants.
Getting around San Jose
Downtown San Jose is a very walkable city with everything you need within a block of so of the Mastermind.
Uber is abundantly available as well if you’re looking to get to or from the airport or head to a nearby city like Santa Clara, Campbell, etc.
Our VTA Light Rail runs through much of the Bay Area as well and Google Maps can help you find the right train and schedule.
If you’re heading up to San Francisco, Caltrain will take you right there from Diridon Station in San Jose.
If you’re traveling further afield, you can also easily rent a car either locally or directly from the airport.
Things to Do Nearby
If you plan to extend your stay, there are a number of great things to do nearby while you’re in town. Some favorites include:
- San Jose Museum of Art
- The Tech Interactive
- Municipal Rose Garden
- Visiting Wine Country (Napa, Sonoma, and Livermore)
- Visiting Santa Cruz, known for surfing, their famous Boardwalk, and ocean views
Local Transit to the Mastermind
If you’re local to the San Francisco Bay Area and plan to take transit in instead of driving, you can take Caltrain, BART, and the Highway 17 Express to our venue.
Caltrain from San Francisco
If you’re taking Caltrain from San Francisco, head south and get off at Diridon Station in San Jose. You can then either walk ~7 minutes or Rideshare (i.e. Uber) to the Mastermind.
BART from the East Bay
If you’re taking BART from the East Bay area, head south to Berryessa / North San Jose. You can then either take the VTA RAPID 500 to Santa Clara & 1st stop or Rideshare (i.e. Uber) to the Mastermind.
Highway 17 Express from Santa Cruz
If you’re coming up over the hill from Santa Cruz, take the Highway 17 Express to San Jose via SVTC to Diridon Station in San Jose. And then either walk ~7 minutes or Rideshare (i.e. Uber) to the Mastermind.
